Tour De Paris - Day 3

The last day of the paris trip....
And only 2 places left to visit - The pending visit to the museum and Versailes Palace

We started with the museum..
My God !! It was HUGE !!! I was not sure what would be there for ppl to spend 4 months... There was lots.. We spent half a day in the museum and we hadnt even seen one portion of one floor... We targetted only Monolisa, lost our way a bit and then saw lots of egyptian sculptures - Amazing...

And after a lot of lost ways, this way ! no no that way arguments, we finally reached the room where monolisa painting was kept... I am no art lover.. and to be frank, Monolisa didnt impress me :-(( .. There were lots of paintings in the same room that were much more beautiful to me - I am not a art critic and I cant differentiate monolisa painting from muniamma painting.. ;-)).. But like thirupathi, there was a big queue for taking photos.. and we also waited ... took photograph and came out...

We came out of the Museum, because we had to visit the palace too and it was already past 11am ( our train is at 7pm !! ).. Went to the Palace - and thankfully, it was closed for maintenace and only the garden was open - thankfully because we didnt have time to visit the palace... The gardens were beautiful.. spent some time till about 3pm..

We started towards paris and then decided to go to Eiffel for one more photo session.. At about 5pm, we finished with the photos and started walking in the direction opposite of tube station - to find out where the next nearest tube station is... To our surprise, we came to the beginning of the road in which our hotel was...
So, actually, our hotel was only 15mins away from Eiffel tower ( for all the 3 days !! ) and we didnt know it.. :-((
So, the lesson is - ' dont go for Orgainsed tours!! If you go for organised tours, you will not have such nice surprises !! '

We vacated our hotel rooms and reached the railway station. .there was about 1 more hour to go... So, Sethu and I decided to go out and try to find out something to eat for all of us.. There was a Mcdy close to the station.. We decided to try our luck. After 15 mins of enquiry, we found 'Madras Cafe' :-)) and then got Onion Oothappam, Chicken Kurma & Chappathi!!! We had the food in International Railway Station - with people sitting around us munching the burgers, we opened the Onion Oothappam with sambar and chppathi with chicken kurma ;-)) ( Jenma sabalyam adaindhom ;-))

Reached Tunbridge wells at 10pm.. :-)) with great experience of Paris !!!

( Short post - because even I am bored of seeing the same title for a long time.. and i had decided not to write anything else until i complete the paris trip !! )
